Lesson Plan 1

The lesson plan I chose to do is called the ryhming game. It is for kindergarten level, in the music and language arts area. I got this fun idea from my cousin who is a kindergarten teacher. She got it from a book called Fall Phonemic Awareness, Songs and Rhymes. By: Kimberly Jorgano; and Trisha Callella. This lesson helps your students with rhyming, colors, patterns, and rythm. I have actualy done this lesson with a kindergarten class, and they loved it! We had a lot of fun!

Topic 2 UEN

We learned about the UEN website and all of the great stuff it has to offer teachers. I liked that you can go on there and create your own lesson plan. I think this will be very helpful, and less time consuming. I am glad we have a great website to refer to when we need help. We also learned a little about using the smart board and how helpful it can be in the classroom. I liked this because we as students haven't really got the chance to talk about the smart board, and what advantages it brings to the classroom.

Topic 1 Today's Students

We watched a video in class about today’s students. Watching this was kind of a wakeup call for me. I am not up to date in the technology subject. The movie made me realize how much kids today really use technology and that it is a part of their lives. I know that I need to learn more and participate more with what technology has to offer us. I think students really enjoy when new technology is integrated into the classroom.
